The Charter for Public Education Network brings together for the first time in British Columbia all those individuals and groups committed to the principles of public education, and we are celebrating our 6th Anniversary this year!
The current economic climate invites promotion of investment in education. Unemployed citizens need, and are seeking, greater access to post secondary education. Retraining needs will increase.
Restoration of cuts to services for kindergarten to grade twelve students, reductions of class sizes, extra support for special needs and infrastructure capital spending (seismic upgrading) are wise investments for the future. New jobs in the education sector are a very cost effective way to stimulate the economy. The public is receptive to protection of services, including deficit budgeting, to do so.
It's easy to renew your individual membership:
We are updating our membership list and starting fresh, so if we don't hear from you your name will not be added.
